We are Chartered Town Planners who deal with the full range of planning and development issues. From site finding to the delivery of planning permission, we strive to guide our clients through the complexities of the planning process.
Les Ross established the practice in 2005. We are trusted by local companies and international businesses to provide planning advice and handle major development proposals. We manage the entire planning application process, including coordinating local specialists to undertake the range of assessments required as part of modern planning applications.
Global warming is the defining crises of our time and we believe there is an imperative on everyone to act urgently and decisively. Renewable energy development is essential for a safer, cleaner and sustainable world - this is the main focus of our work.

What we do
Renewable Energy
Since the first wind farms were developed in the 1990’s, we have been at the forefront of delivering major renewable projects including wind, solar, hydro & biomass. We are enthusiastic supporters of the need for more renewables and have been at the heart of delivering some of the largest projects in Northern Ireland.
Grid Infrastructure
Delivering green energy means a revolution of our energy systems, including the integration of large-scale storage. We delivered planning permission for the first grid-scale battery energy storage systems and synchronous condensers in Northern Ireland, and we continue to work with major international companies to help create a more resilient and sustainable grid network.
Residential Development
We work alongside architects to design large and medium size housing developments throughout NI. This includes coordinating expert input and handling the pre-application community consultation process and managing expert teams to undertake the assessments that are a critical part of any development proposal. We work with housing developers to deliver highly attractive, desirable residential environments.
Telecommunications
We work for O2 and Vodafone in Northern Ireland, preparing and managing planning applications for the mobile phone network. Good mobile coverage is essential to modern life and the demand for mobile services is increasing exponentially. This necessitates more infrastructure to handle the additional data required by the public, businesses and the emergency services. We help the operators find the best sites and create the most environmentally suitable design to improve coverage in urban and rural locations.
