We have been lead consultant on many hydro projects, ranging from micro schemes up to the largest hydro schemes in Northern Ireland.

A recent example is the successful approval of a scheme on the Agivey River. Planning permission and abstraction licence granted for a 115kW scheme, based on Kaplan style turbine arrangement. Working closely with the landowner we devised an appropriate design for this low head site, including appropriate fish protection measures. This approval is latest in a series of recent planning approvals for hydro-electric schemes and we are working on range of new sites.
