Following a planning appeal, permission has been granted for a 250kW wind turbine on an upland agricultural site near Glenarm.

DoE Planning had concerns about the landscape & visual impact of development, but following detailed consideration the Commissioner accepted the scheme.

The site benefits from an exceptionally good wind resource and, once harnessed, the natural power of the wind will create electricity for the national grid.
